The Expendables 3 review

Sly is back in the third instalment in the Expendables franchise, I sat down to watch the movie with a sense of optimism despite being let down to what could of been in the previous two movies. How ever I couldn't miss this movie for the pure fact that Wesley snipes is in it, But yet again they feel the need to mix the movies script with the casts older movies or real life. When snipes asked why he had been in jail during the opening sequence he jokes saying "tax invasion" which is why he got sent down in 2008 and of course Arnold had to use Get to the choppa line again which really annoyed me I let snipes get away with it but after sitting through the movie I was relatively happy until he had to go and say it. This is the reason to which I hated the second one which I will not go into in this review. 

When the Expendables was first announced there were two types of people interested 1) people who love movies during 80's/90's and we're extremely excited to see all their favourite action heroes and 2) now these were were the people who also loved the movies during the time but were sceptical to a bunch of over 50's (bar Jason Statham) booting up for an action movie. Despite the negatives it is a good movie and has some funny scenes and it is nice to see new blood in the franchise, it has great action sequences and the brought the age down to 12a so they are not just focusing on blood but better script. 

The movie took in less on its open weekend than it's predecessors but personally is my favourite and would advise people to go and see it.

I'm going to give this film a ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

What If Review

Daniel Radcliffe stars in this new fresh rom-com. I enjoyed this movie because it's fun and diffrent it's never plain sailing in these movies but the fact that she's with a perfectly good man it seems where as in other movies you hate the other man as you're rooting against him however in this one you do not. Another treat in this movie is that for the first time since his potter days you see Daniel Radcliffe as more than just a wizard and shows he can perform in diffrent rolls to anyone who likes movies that makes you feel good go watch it!! And if you're thinking of taking a girl on a date take her to see this.

RIP Robin Williams

He made millions laugh and sometimes even cry in his comedy roles and his dramatic ones I for one grew up watching his films and will never forget him. He is not only a loved actors but a father and a husband and my thoughts go out to his family.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Review

This is the most pleasent surprise to come from cinema all year all ready taking in 175 million worldwide and having a soundtrack that is 2nd in the album charts. The film showcases a great cast with the lead coming from Chris Pratt (lego movie, Jurassic world) along side him there are Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley cooper and vin diesel. If you like Star Wars this is the film for you and even if you somehow don't this movie will still have aspects to keep you entertained as it's is funny as well as having some very serious moments. Unlike any marvel movie ever made it bring a new galaxy for them to explore and the opurtunity for some exiting villains with lee Pearce as roman the accuser and Karen Gillian performing brilliantly as nebula it brings a new coldness to villains unlike Loki who was still lovable. Spoiler alert we also got a first look at THANOS!!! Josh broilin was announced as the villain and ever since every one thought of what he would be like and I for one cannot wait until avengers 3 and he is going to be incredible.

The plot of this film mainly focuses around an ifinty stone which once collected all five will lead to an infinity gauntlet story line I will do a separate story on this. I'm going to give this film a 9/10 if you haven't seen it go and see it!

Batman vs superman dawn of justice: footage

Sdcc was very eventful this year with many reveals one of which including Zach Snyder introducing a new clip from their upcoming movie. It starts with batman on a rainy and dark rooftop, many believe to be Gotham, he then turns on the bat signal shining into the sky the camera pans to the sky where you can see superman in the sky over the bat signal he's eyes are red and fists are clenched it then turns to batman where he has bright white eyes also with clenched fists. The clip ends with that tell me what you think of the footage if you were able to see it ?

X-men: Days Of Future Past

This Xmen is unlike any other xmen ever made, also it's the first superhero in along time that has taken a lot of consideration to the plot it's not just all action heavy how ever the mutants do have there fair share of showing their skills. Wolverine in this film really steps ups so he isn't just the angry man running about with claws, as he has to go back I'm time and convince everybody to help him stop the sentinels from being in the future. I have to say the sentinels are some serious robots to you can see why they our so dangerous to mutants and In the opening scene you can see just how much damage a few can do. There are a lot of Easter eggs in this movie including when magneto and quicksilver meet quicksilver said "my mum know a guy who could bend metal" and if you our familiar with the comics you will know that quick silver and scarlett witch our the children of magneto. I rate this film a 9.9/10  the reason it isn't a ten is because this sort of means most of the films our now pointless. 

SPOILER ALERT!!!!..The end credit scene is set in the Egyptian time where a grey man who is believed to be apocalypse, he is moving the pyramids in to place while a a crowed chant his name.

Batman Vs Superman News

The blockbuster which is set for May the 6th 2016 we should be in for a treat as Zach Snyder has released first images of bat suit and bat mobile not only this but he has also released the name, Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice. So as you know some of the justice league characters will apear in this movie Wonder Woman for one. I don't totally agree with putting Wonder Woman in this movie I think she should of had a stand alone or just came into justice league, I believe this because she is such a big character in comics and as well as having to deal with to of the biggest super heroes of all time there throwing in a third as well as cyborg unless there making this movie over 3 hours there going to need to introduce how cyborg came about as well as Wonder Woman. But I still think this movie is going to be great...if Ben affeck is nothing like what we saw in daredevil of which I give a 4.5/10.

Bad Neighbours

This is one of them films that makes your sides hurt, with Zac Efron, Seth Rogen, Dave Franco and Rose Byrne leading the line up it truly makes for a good watch no disrespect to Seth roger but he is him in this movie don't expect anything to much different, but I think he plays that sort of role perfectly. With the bromance between Zac and Dave this movie is hilariously stupid with a lot of childish moments and party's we all wish we could be apart of. I'm giving this film a 9/10 I advise anyone with youth in them to go watch this!!

Godzilla 2014

I was very anticated to watch this movie and I also like the actors, Aaron Taylor Johnson is one who is going to star in next summers avengers. Godzilla in this film unlike the others you are routing for this gigantic monster. I'm not going to give away to much but there is a lot more to this film than what the trailer shows as Godzilla is not the only monster throughout the film and the earth is being used as a battle ground. The way they portrayed Godzilla in this movie was quite brilliant you can almost see a person in him the way he acts. I'm going to give this film an 8.5/10. Also the producers have announced that there will be a sequel I will let more details put as soon as I know.

AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON NEWS

What Ultron before being cgi'd looks like

The Avengers Age Of Ultron could be one of the most anticipated films of all time it's set to hit theatres on May 1st 2015 and I personally think the casting of quick silver is brilliant I think Aaron Taylor Johnson caters to all needs as he can be funny as seen in kick ass he can be a loved up teenager in Angus thongs and perfect snogging personally I do not rate that film and action in Godzilla. So I think he will be perfect for the roll. I will not go into Scarlett witch casting, Elizabeth Olsen to much as I have not seen any of her movies.

There's many story lines that people are coming up with at the moment my personal favourite is that the hulk turns on the rest of the avengers and then they exile him to an alien planet where he gets a wife and then eventually in avengers 3 he comes back to earth to fight the avengers. People who are familiar with the comics will know that this is the story of "planet hulk". I think this is the most believable at the moment as marvel do seem to be going along with the comic story lines at the moment. Also marvel released some concept art of the avengers 2 and it showed iron man and hulk fighting but Iron man is wearing a hulk buster suit this is basically just a massive iron man suit capable of subduing hulk. Some believe it's the large suit near the end of iron man 3. I guess we will just have to wait for another year...

Django Unchained

Quentin Tarantino is known for his violent, funny, dynamic music and his camera angles. Django is a perfect showcase of all of these things it's a bout a bounty hunter played by Christopher waltz and slave turned bounty hunter Jamie Foxx, it follows them tracking down bounties and Jamie Foxx trying to find his wife. The film contains a lot of funny moments as well as a handful of gory scenes. If you like any other Tarantino film you will love this and the soundtrack to the film can only be described as original and interesting which is what you want a soundtrack to be like in a hit blockbuster. I give this film a 9.5 / 10

GWEN STACY DEATH RIGHT DECISION OR WRONG?

The night Gwen Stacy died  #122 

The death of Gwen Stacy both in the comic and the movie was a shock for many reasons, I'll start with the comics.

The comic universe at that time had never experienced a loved and popular character being killed of she was one of the first and these comics are seen as the end of the silver age of comics. The night Gwen Stacy died is voted as the 9th greatest comic of all time.

In the movies Emma stone plays Gwen Stacy and people who are familiar with the comics will realise that the film gave away a massive spoiler when she was seen wearing what Gwen Stacy  was on the night she died in the comics in one of the trailers they released. Also one of the main things that made amazing spiderman 2 great was the on screen chemistry between emma stone and Andrew Garfield. Mary Jane Watson will almost definitely be in amazing spiderman 3 but they will have to get quite a good and convincing actor to play her as it will be hard too top Emma stones performances and fan base.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: Winter Soldier

The second captain America was a showcase to what the movie industry really can do with special effects it has already topped 500 million at global box office. Chris Evans as captain America and scarlet Johansen as black widow perform brilliantly as together they need to bring down shield. (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!) it also shows the first two new superheroes for avengers age of ultron scarlet witch and quick silver where it shows them in cells. With a new addition as falcon (Anthony Mackie)  and the return of Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) As the winter soldier it really holds quite a strong cast. Although this movie was great I can't help but think it was a stepping stone to make the future of captain America stable as Chris Evans will not be playing the roll to much longer to find out who could be next in the roll you have to go back to the comics where the winter soldier takes over the position which I think would be brilliant if this were to happen nothing has been said yet but it seems like the marvel universe are going more with the comics. Overall however this film is quite amazing along with the great fight scenes, chases, special effect and also good one liners this film deserves a 8.5/10.

ABOUT TIME

About time is a rom com about a a normal ginger boy who learns that all the males in his family can time travel. Through out the film he finds love and makes a family but that isn't without a few hiccups. This film is a really well made and feel good film despite the film having some sad moments unlike other films it shows the normality of life and youth like trying to get a girlfriend and being late for work. I would recommend this film as it's a very funny and romantic film. I would give this film an 7/10.

DIVERGENT

This film was a very pleasant surprise I went into the movie very optimistic not knowing to much about the film and had not read the books the film is based around. The film is about a future world based in Chicago where there has been a nuclear war so the people of Chicago make sure they maintain peace by dividing people into faction based on virtues e.g. Brave, smart, kind, selfless. To determine what one they should pick they have to take a test however the final choice is there and every so often the test doesn't work on somebody and there called divergent's the film is about tris (shailene woodley) who is a divergent and her struggle to fit in. The film offers a very interesting look at the future and what could be. The two leads Shailene Woolley and Theo James perform perfectly together and were the perfect casting for this role. The soundtrack to this movie is also brilliant with fitting music all the way through the movie Ellie Goulding leading the music threw the film. I would give this film an 8/10 and I am very much looking forward to the sequel.

THE QUIET ONES

This horror is about a team of students and there professor Joseph Coupland
Who conduct an experiment to prove the paranormal is only a state of mind on there trip they find some truly horrific things what they uncover will change there life for ever. The film is based around London the film has many moments which generally left you tucking yourself into your seat and gripping your eyes in the belief that it would make the experience less terrifying, however it did not. The film has some weird scenes and twists where the camera man  (Sam Claffin)  falls in love with the girl their testing on, Jane harper (Olivia Cooke) really plays her part well and truly makes her self look demonic. The film had a lot of loud moments and quite disturbing moments but still I would recommend the film to any one who likes horrors. Overall I would give this film an 7/10.

THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2

The Sequel to the rebooted series was an action packed film witch lasts just over two hours, it had many great action sequences through the streets and sky's of New York where they could really show of what the character could do as spiderman. A part from the action sequences Andrew Garfield and Emma stone played there parts brilliantly and really made the audience connect with there relationship and in the film it's going through quite a tough time as Gwen's deceased father's wishes for Peter to leave Gwen out of his life for her safety are really taking a toll on him and you see him go through quite a learning curve through the film dealing with all this emotions. The villains in the film were Jamie fox as electro, Dane Dehaan as the green goblin and a hardly recognisable Paul Giammati as rhino, I think the film struggled with so many big characters as well as showing the death of peters parents as they had a lot to cram in they couldn't really focus on any villains as well as rhino only having very little screen time. Andrew Garfield was brilliant in this role and he really brought humour and more youth to the film as Peter still is only young in the film. The sound track to the film was also very well made also with one of the leading ones being "it's on again" and also there's a spectacular Times Square scene in the movie where spiderman first sees Jamie fox as electro and they also have some very setting music in that sequence. Overall I would give this film an 8/10.
